Dear Adrian,
Being with you and your amazing team last week was an unforgettable experience! Watching our house take shape exceeded all our expectations! First of all, your crew, Chris, Tim, Henry and Isaac (and Oscar), are extremely professional and skilled and just plain nice people to get to know! You all worked together like a well oiled machine and there was genuine respect among all of you. It was truly a pleasure to witness! Jim and I, as well as the rest of our family who were there, found the whole experience to be profoundly uplifting.
Secondly, the way your craftsmanship and the gorgeous wood worked together in harmony, was a thing of beauty. The precise way it all went together was almost beyond comprehension!
Finally, the party was very special to us. It was a great celebration! We felt a warmth and affirmation from our new friends, neighbors and family that makes our house a "home" even before the walls are up! It was especially meaningful that your crew was there and that this project is way more than a "job" for them. Yours and their passion give the house a special soul that will always be there I think.
Thank you for providing the wonderful music. Please extend our appreciation to both bands. We loved the local, neighborly flavor of the first group and truly enjoyed the wonderful sound of the second. Thanks for the great brew too! Also, please thank the folks that helped shuttle people up and down the driveway. We really appreciate it!
Please thank the crew for their kindness and patience in always being willing to explain things to us.
Since we've been home we've been looking at the photos and videos of the raising over and over. We're still in awe!
Very sincerely,
Nancy and Jim Carpenter
P.S. Please share this e-mail with all involved.

Hi Adrian,
CW and I wanted to let you know we are so pleased with the lovely timbers you provided for our "hybrid home" in Rist Canyon. It was so exciting for us to watch the crane lift the beams and trusses.and to see how it was all so perfectly designed and manufactured when you "raised the roof." It is even more rewarding to see that some of the old construction craft still exists.
Thank you for being such an integral part of our home, and when it is finished we will have a christening party for all those who participated in construction, so please let everyone know to expect our invitation.
Thanks again,
Carol Miller

Adrian and Crew,
It has been a great pleasure to have ya'll on my team, thank you!
With this home being the first I have ever built and being the general contractor, I have had many people relate their "horror stories" of their own experiences. I have to say that my experience your company Frameworks Timber has been wonderful. I have already recommended you.
Frameworks Timber has been forthright and professional to work with. You hit the ground running when I contacted you through the Timber Framers Guild in April 2007. You were very thorough in discussing the "hows" and "whys" of the timber frame process and timeline. Because of your having a fine rapport with my architect and your willingness to work together with him, I believe I have a better home.
The communication was always timely, you did what you said you would, when you said you would. Your skillful crew was prepared and worked in an efficient manner and they were always there for me when I had a question. I feel that we formed a unique bond, knowing that they really cared about my house.
I just wanted to let you to know how pleased I am with you and your company, Frameworks Timber. If you would like to show my house to clients or if I can be of any help please let me know.
Yours in the building process,
Kathy Clark

Dear Adrian,
Our association with Frameworks Timber began rather serendipitously. I had long wanted a timber frame house, but the cost always seemed prohibitive. We decided to design our house using a post and beam framework joined with metal brackets. At least we would have the beauty of exposed timbers, even if we couldn't afford the cost of wooden pegged mortise and tenon joinery. Adrian Jones heard of our desire to build a timber frame house and invited me to Frameworks Timber to see some of their work. When I saw the craftsmanship of their work, I knew we had to find a way to incorporate true timber framing into our house.
Adrian worked long and hard with us exploring different designs, cost tradeoffs, timber sourcing, and labor content. We found Adrian to be innovative, resourceful, understanding, and willing to consider any solution that that would help us meet our objectives. The timber frame of our house is now complete, and we are still awestruck by its beauty and the good fortune we had in finding Frameworks Timber and Adrian Jones. Here are a few reasons we would recommend Frameworks Timber to anyone considering building a timber frame home.
Craftsmanship
Adrian and his team are devoted to producing the highest quality product. They are artisans. They take pride in their craftsmanship. Adrian oversees all aspects of the work and is both a student and a teacher. He employs top timber framers and willingly learns from them. He is also an excellent teacher and passes along to his crew his own acquired knowledge in a non-assuming and instructive way.
Adrian seeks preciseness in everything he undertakes. We are the fortunate beneficiaries of Frameworks Timber's craftsmanship. Almost without exception, any visitor to our house will first remark about the beauty of the timber framing.
Business
I am the general contractor for the construction of our house. I deal with many subcontractors, suppliers, and individuals. Adrian is, by far, the most professional person I have dealt with during the building of our house. He was the only subcontractor to submit a comprehensive bid and a detailed contract. He is the only one who proactively provided change orders. He has a good grasp on all aspects of his business, and he meets his commitments.
Crew
Adrian has the ability to attract top talent. He has an impressive network of people who know and respect his work, and he can draw on the talent of the best and most experienced people in his field. Adrian put together an impressive crew to work on our house. Their individual skills and personalities combined to produce a great team. They worked hard every day, but they also obviously enjoyed their labor.
Ecology
We are concerned about the impact our building has on the environment. We wanted to build an energy efficient house using local resources and natural building materials. We discovered that Adrian had many of the same goals. He found an in-state source for all of our timber and much of our lumber. He is knowledgeable about environmentally friendly building materials. He recommended a natural ingredient finish for our timber and lumber. We called on Adrian for advice on many building aspects not related to the timber frame because we trusted his knowledge and his desire to build responsibly.
Commitment
Adrian delivered on every commitment he made. We were never concerned about the crew not showing up. We were never concerned about paying before the job was totally completed. From the beginning, Adrian earned our trust and respect simply by doing what he said he would do. Although Frameworks Timber was the only subcontractor to provide a detailed contract, it is the one company I would do business with on a handshake.
Creativity
Adrian was always open to exploring alternatives. When it became apparent that Frameworks Timber's quote on a timber frame breezeway and porch was beyond our budget, Adrian worked with us to get the cost down to something we could afford. Adrian suggested that we take on some of the work of installing the roof and finishing the timbers and lumber. He also creatively bartered for homemade cookies, fresh chicken eggs, dog sitting, and marketing advice. We enjoyed the flexibility Adrian demonstrated in these situations. Not only did we get the breezeway and the porch, we had fun in the process.
Knowledge
Although it is apparent that Adrian has an in-depth understanding of timber framing, it is worth noting that he also has broad ranging experience and knowledge of conventional construction. I went to Adrian many times to get input on how to frame something, how to trim something, how to finish something. Adrian always had good suggestions and a willingness to answer any question.
In addition to the timber frame house, we are also building a steel frame garage and guesthouse. We had many problems erecting the steel framework. Adrian observed this process and my frustration and offered to help. I gladly accepted his proposal to finish the erection of the steel frame and installation of the roof panels. The project was completed by Frameworks Timber without further complication. Although it might never appear in the Frameworks Timber portfolio, I am deeply grateful for their involvement in the completion of this project.
Community
Our time with Frameworks Timber has expanded our horizons. We planned together, worked together, laughed together. We made new friends. We have a beautiful home and feel that it has been warmly blessed by the contributions of so many. We especially thank Adrian and Frameworks Timber for their desire to involve all of us in the experience of creating an expanded community.
